Curriculum & Classes

The Epiphany School offers classes for children ages 12 months through Pre-Kindergarten from mid-August until May, following closely with the Richardson ISD calendar.  Classes will be half-day, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM with schedule options for a five-day Monday thru Friday, a three-day Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or a two-day Tuesday/Thursday.  The Epiphany School also offers options for Early Care  (7:30 AM-9:00 AM) and Extended Learning (2:00 PM-5:30 PM).

The Epiphany School offers an 8 week summer program with the same hours and schedule options that are offered during the traditional school year.

During the 2024-2025 school year, The Epiphany School is using Experience Curriculum (formerly Mother Goose) and Abeka to enhance literacy.

Our dream is to grow with our students, adding additional classes and ages year by year until we have classes through Transitional Kindergarten.

Toddlers

The toddler program at TES is focused on helping our youngest students transition from the home environment into a school environment. Our teachers provide opportunities for the toddlers to learn self-confidence and independence through social skills, creativity, language exploration, and gross motor skills.   Our toddler classroom is full of music, manipulatives, sensory exploration, nature, books, and indoor and outdoor play.

PreK 2

The TES PreK 2 classrooms build upon the independence and self-confidence of the toddler to provide opportunities for our students to learn and grow. We offer play based activities which incorporate language, physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. These activities engage them in learning about the world around them while introducing them to academic concepts that will build a strong learning foundation.

Our two-year-olds participate in the following special weekly activities:

  • science

  • music

  • chapel

  • library

  • community garden

  • indoor & outdoor play

PreK 3

The PreK 3 program at TES is focused on beginning the work of adjusting to a more structured learning environment. The children are encouraged to learn independent self-care and self-regulations in a community learning environment.  Our teachers provide opportunities for the children to develop pre-reading skills and learn the foundations of math and science. The preschooler experience is full of music, manipulatives, sensory exploration, nature, books, and indoor and outdoor play.

Our three-year-olds participate in the following special weekly activities:

  • STEAM

  • Social-Emotional Learning

  • Music

  • Chapel

  • Library

  • Community Garden

  • Indoor and Outdoor Play

PreK 4

The TES PreK 4 program builds upon the PreK 3 skills of independence and self-confidence to help prepare the children for the transition to Kindergarten. The PreK4 learning environment provides self-directed learning opportunities for students to expand their individual curiosity in foundational areas such as literacy, science, math, music, community life, etc.  Class experiences support the skills of independent learning while also facilitating success in a cooperative learning environment.

Our four-year-olds participate in the following special weekly activities:

TES believes that spiritual formation is foundational for a healthy, well-developed child.  Children are given daily opportunities to engage in worship, listen to God’s Word in scripture, and respond to these experiences.
